CEC publishes form: Check which polling station you will vote at

Local elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina will be held on Sunday, October 2. Parties and independent candidates are preparing extensively for this day, and the Central Election Commission is also busy.

On the official website of the CEC, you can quickly and easily find information about your polling station. All you need to do is enter your first and last name along with your personal identification number. Find the form at THIS link.

Local elections in BiH will cost around eight million BAM, and will be financed by the state and municipalities. In the 2016 local elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina, nine mayors and 132 municipal heads will be elected.

Seventy-four municipal councils will be elected in the Federation of BiH, and 58 municipal assemblies in the BiH entity of Republika Srpska. A total of 140 municipal and city heads and mayors in BiH are to be elected, 78 in the Federation of BiH and 62 in Republika Srpska.

The 2016 local elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina will also elect the Assembly of Brčko District of BiH, the Assembly of the City of Banja Luka and the mayor of the City of Banja Luka, as well as the city assemblies of Prijedor, Bijeljina, Doboj and Trebinje, and the city councils of Bihać, Tuzla, Zenica and Široki Brijeg.
