CEC made a decision: New elections in Stolac on February 19, HDZ candidate the only contender for mayor

Repeated elections in Stolac will be held on February 19, confirmed for N1 the President of the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina Irena Hadžiabdić, Patria reports.

Hadžiabdić said after the extraordinary session of the CEC, held tonight, that all agenda items related to the repetition of elections in Stolac.

She confirmed that conditions were met to make such a decision, after the Appellate Chamber of the Court of BiH rejected the appeals.

In the next 14 days, the CEC will prepare everything so that the elections can be conducted, in terms of printing ballots and their forwarding abroad. 38,000 KM will be spent for these elections. 

After the CEC made the decision to remove Salmir Kaplan (Initiative for Stolac) from the list of candidates for mayor, the citizens of Stolac will be able to choose only one candidate for this position, the current mayor Stjepan Bošković (HDZ BiH).
