(Patria) - After local elections were subsequently scheduled for November 5 this year in Jablanica, which was hit by devastating floods, the Central Election Commission (CIK) of Bosnia and Herzegovina provided certain details.
“The Central Election Commission of BiH adopted a special Instruction on the method of identification and voting of voters in the postponed elections in Jablanica, according to which a voter whose personal documents were destroyed in the natural disaster can exercise their voting right by presenting an ID card form with a photograph (LK-O-I4) issued by the competent Ministry of Interior. To obtain the ID card form with a photograph – LK-O-I4, the voter must personally contact the competent Ministry of Interior and report that their identification documents have been destroyed, on the basis of which they will be issued the ID card form with a photograph LK-O-I4,” stated the CIK.
For the purpose of voting at polling station 126A013 (Donja Jablanica), the election commission of the basic electoral unit Jablanica will determine a new location for the polling station where voters will exercise their voting right, and will inform voters accordingly.
The CIK BiH appointed two coordinators for coordinating and monitoring the postponed elections in the basic electoral unit Jablanica.
Let us recall, in Kreševo, Kiseljak, Fojnica and Konjic, areas also affected by the floods, elections were also held postponed on October 20.
In the local elections in Fojnica, Kiseljak, Kreševo and Konjic, 50.83 percent of voters voted.
However, in Jablanica, they were further prolonged due to the exceptionally large scale of material damage and destroyed infrastructure, which required greater efforts in organizing the holding of elections.
