Prices on the Adriatic in drastic decline, last year's cheapest offer is this year's most expensive

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The situation regarding bookings in private accommodation in Croatia is quite poor, as representatives of rental associations told Index.hr, while at the same time prices of private apartments and holiday homes have never been lower.

Journalists from this portal reviewed a number of advertisements for private accommodation on the Adriatic via Index ads, and prices are drastically lower compared to last year. Last year, the cheapest apartment in the pre-season cost 40 euros, and this year in the pre-season, that is the price of the most expensive one.

Apartment prices in 2019 for the pre- and post-season ranged from 40 to 100 euros, while during the season they were between 60 and 200 euros.

This year, apartment prices in the pre- and post-season range from 25 to 40 euros, while during the season they range from 45 to 70 euros. The most expensive was a whole holiday home with a pool, costing 114 euros per day during the season.

This year, an apartment on Pag that can accommodate five people costs 25 euros in the pre-season, 50 euros in the season, and 30 euros in the post-season.

Index journalists also investigated what apartment prices are like this summer.

An apartment for two people in Sukošan until June 30 costs 1,300 kuna for 7 nights, and for 4 people 2,300 kuna. It is located 100 m from the beach. During the season, the apartment price is 45 euros per day, and in the post-season 25 euros.

An apartment with 2 bedrooms in Šibenik costs 35 euros in the pre-season this year, and 45 euros in the season.

On Krk, a two-story holiday home with 3 bedrooms and a pool costs 48 euros in the pre- and post-season, while the price is 114 euros during the season. A studio apartment in Zadar is rented for 40 euros per day in the pre- and post-season, while the price is 55 euros during the season.

A studio apartment in Novi Vinodolski costs 30 euros per day in the pre-season, and 40 euros in the season.

An apartment for 2 to 6 people in Zaton is rented for 30 euros per day in the pre-season, and 45 euros in the season.

On Hvar, an apartment, also for 2 to 6 people, is rented for 40 euros in the pre- and post-season, while its price is 70 euros during the season.

A one-bedroom apartment for two people in the center of Makarska costs 25 euros per day in the pre- and post-season, and 50 euros in the season.
