All of Europe in fear: Denmark also raises security level

Danish police raised the security level to the second highest on Wednesday, following the attacks in Paris, reports the Patria News Agency.

- Following the terrorist attacks in Paris, Danish police have now raised the internal security level to 'significantly elevated,' the statement reads.

Law enforcement mentions an 'insecure situation in a number of European countries,' and emphasizes that security services have not 'changed the assessment of the terrorist threat against Denmark, which is still considered serious.'

Citizens should not notice a difference in their daily lives, police say.

In February, Denmark itself witnessed attacks by a Danish jihadist of Palestinian origin who killed a filmmaker during a debate on freedom of speech and a Jew guarding a synagogue in Copenhagen.
