Easter Greetings

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - High Representative Valentin Inzko today sent Easter greetings to all Catholic believers in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“I wish you to spend the holiday of Christ’s resurrection with abundant God’s blessings in joy with your loved ones. The message of Easter is a message of hope, the victory of new life and a better tomorrow with Christ. I wish this to be a guide for everyone, especially those who care about the well-being of citizens. Happy and blessed Easter.”

On the occasion of the Catholic holiday of Easter, the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH, Denis Zvizdić, sent greetings to the Archbishop of Vrhbosna, Cardinal Vinko Puljić, and to Catholic citizens in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the diaspora.

“On behalf of the Council of Ministers of BiH and in my own name, I extend sincere congratulations to you and all Catholic believers in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the diaspora on the occasion of Easter. I wish you to spend this holiday in health and happiness with your families, friends, and neighbors. The diversity of our holidays and customs is an invaluable treasure of our homeland, and I call on all Bosnians and Herzegovinians to cherish the historical tradition of coexistence and solidarity in Bosnia and Herzegovina and to jointly build a better and more just society. Happy Easter!”, reads the greeting from Chairman Zvizdić.

“I sincerely congratulate you on your greatest religious holiday and wish that it fills you with optimism that, through the joint efforts of everyone in Bosnia and Herzegovina, we will constantly move forward on the path of progress,” says the Easter greeting sent by the Prime Minister of the Federation of BiH, Fadil Novalić, on behalf of the Government of FBiH and in his personal capacity, to believers of the Catholic faith.

“I wish you to spend Easter in good health and spirits, with family members, friends, and neighbors. Every religious holiday, regardless of faith, should be an incentive to do good to others so that we, as individuals, through our personal example, contribute to building a better and more just society, peace, and understanding among people of all nationalities and confessions,” says Prime Minister Novalić’s greeting.

Member of the Presidency of BiH Željko Komšić sent Easter greetings to Cardinal Vinko Puljić, Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Vrhbosna, and to all Catholics in BiH and the diaspora.

“Your Eminence, I congratulate you and all Catholics in BiH and the diaspora on Easter. This most important and greatest Catholic holiday teaches us forgiveness, tolerance, and respect. It teaches us to love the other and the different, to help each other with deep appreciation. In the spirit of sincere care for our neighbor, let us always help those who are helpless and in need of assistance. May this holiday bring prosperity, love, and good health to your homes.”

The Speaker of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, Bakir Izetbegović, sent Easter greetings to the Archbishop of Vrhbosna, Cardinal Vinko Puljić, and to all Catholics in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“On the occasion of the upcoming Easter holiday, on behalf of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina and in my own name, I extend heartfelt congratulations to you and all citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina of Catholic faith. I wish you to spend these festive days in health, happiness, and prosperity together with your friends, relatives, and neighbors, with mutual understanding, solidarity, and tolerance,” Izetbegović conveyed.
