(Patria) – Czech Minister of Health Adam Vojtech (33) announced on Monday that he has resigned due to negative criticism of his management of the coronavirus epidemic.
Prime Minister Andrej Babis thanked Vojtech via Twitter, stating that the young politician could have been remembered as the best Minister of Health in history if it weren't for the coronavirus epidemic that 'took all his energy'.
The Czech Republic is recording a new increase in the number of infections, and with its rising rate, it is among the most endangered countries in Europe, immediately after Spain.
The Czech Republic had lifted almost all emergency measures even before the summer holidays.
In the past 14 days, the Czech Republic has recorded an average of 193 cases of infection per 100,000 people.
