Czech Republic and Poland will not comply with European Court ruling on refugee reception

Poland and the Czech Republic, despite the European Court's decision, do not wish to fulfill the refugee reception quota, writes the Patria agency.

Czech President Miloš Zeman stated that he would rather give up donations from the EU than accept 3,000 refugees currently accommodated in Greece and Italy.

- With the threat of suspending our donations, the EU will force us to accept several thousand Muslim migrants in the first phase. I think we must not bow down, we must not let them threaten us. If it comes to the worst, it is always better to give up European donations than to let migrants in here - said the Czech president.

Czech Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka and Minister of Foreign Affairs Lubomir Zaorek share the same opinion. Sobotka said that no court decision will force them to change their decision.

Polish Minister of Interior Mariusz Blaszczak stated that despite threats of suspending financial aid, "Poland will not engage in the suicidal policy of receiving refugees who are sowing death in terrorist attacks".

- Refugee groups, which are predominantly Muslim, create a natural environment for Islamic terrorists. I also wonder why Western European politicians have not woken up from this political correctness and why they have not rejected the policy of a multicultural society that has led to tragedy - said Blaszczak.

Blaszczak added that the EU has no possibility to punish member states that refuse to accept refugees from predominantly Muslim countries, because, as he said, EU laws are not made to dictate to member states how to behave when it comes to national policies and security.

Last year, Poland and the Czech Republic stated that they were ready to accept a certain number of refugees, but only on the condition that their security agencies conduct a thorough check upon entry into the country and decide who to allow in and who not, because, as they pointed out, a large number of radicals and potential terrorists are hiding among the refugees.
