Cerić: I ask the people, are you doing well? If you are, vote the same as before!

I ask the people, are they doing well? If they are doing well, let them vote the same, if not, let them vote differently, said Mustafa Cerić, independent candidate for the BiH Presidency member, tonight on Dnevnik D on Federal Television, reports the BiH news agency Patria (NAP).

- Our faith and nation are unquestionable, but the key question for Bosniaks is whether we have a state that is capable of providing living conditions, and most importantly, ensuring that what happened to us from 1992 to 1995 does not happen to our children – said Cerić.

According to him, he decided to run for Presidency member believing that much more can be done from that position than has been done so far.

- All those in power have shown what they can and cannot do. The position of the Bosniak member of the BiH Presidency has not been sufficiently utilized. We have fallen particularly low in the Muslim world, the country has lost its reputation. The position in the Presidency offers great opportunities to help the country – added Cerić.

He did not want to comment on other potential candidates in the same race when asked by the host, saying that there are people who believe in the idea of improving the situation and have the enthusiasm to join the project.

- I don't need to judge anyone. Let the people decide in October. However, a Presidency member should be freed from party shackles and internal turmoil. If they spend more than half of their time on the party, and receive money and a salary for working in the Presidency, then they should dedicate their time to that – said Cerić.

According to him, he positions himself in the political center and extends a hand to all who want the same program, human rights and freedoms, security, and economic development and investments.

- I am not obsessed with victory. I want to achieve synergy, to unite to solve these three issues: human rights and freedom, security, and the economy and investments that will come if we solve the first two conditions – he emphasized, NAP reports.
