UN Central Commemoration Marking 20 Years of the Srebrenica Genocide

At the United Nations headquarters in New York, the central UN commemoration is being held to mark 20 years of the Srebrenica genocide, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

The commemoration is held under the patronage of the President of the UN General Assembly, Sam Kutesa.

In a letter from Bakir Izetbegović, the Bosniak member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which was read today at the UN headquarters, it is stated that Srebrenica will always remain an ugly stain on this international organization, and therefore the crime in Srebrenica should always be called by its true name - genocide!, it is stated, among other things, in Izetbegović's letter.

All participants in the commemoration wear the Srebrenica flower.
