Centar: Rešidat begins mayoral campaign at the National Museum to highlight its importance

The Democratic Front (DF) candidate for mayor of Sarajevo's Centar Municipality in the upcoming local elections in BiH, Samer Rešidat, is launching his campaign on September 3rd, in the Botanical Garden of the National Museum in Sarajevo.

Rešidat said he came up with this idea because he wants to draw attention to the importance of the National Museum of BiH, which struggles to find financial resources for its operation.

- I will present our program at 12 noon, but I invite you to come a little earlier, to buy a ticket that costs 3 KM, to visit the Museum and thus support its work – Rešidat said.

- During the election campaign, a lot of money will be spent on promoting candidates. But, if we make a little effort, that money can be spent in a way that benefits the entire society – he added.

Samer Rešidat is a candidate for mayor of Sarajevo's Centar municipality. Although young, he built his career as a successful manager in the tourism sector.

After that, he entered politics to further help his city. Before the DF party withdrew from power in the FBiH and cantons in 2015, due to the illegal work of their coalition partners SDA and HDZ BiH, Rešidat was the Minister of Culture and Sport in the Government of Sarajevo Canton, writes Patria.

It was precisely during his term that the National Museum of BiH, which had been closed to visitors for years, was reopened.
