Leaders of Sarajevo Canton, Helez, Izetbegović, and numerous citizens congratulated the BiH sitting volleyball team on winning gold

(Patria) - Leaders and members of the Assembly and Government of Sarajevo Canton sent congratulations to the golden Bosnian-Herzegovinian national sitting volleyball team on winning the European gold.

"Your exceptional success on the European stage is a source of pride for the entire Bosnia and Herzegovina. You have shown how, with willpower, dedication, and unity, one can reach the top of Europe.

This medal is not only a sporting triumph but also a powerful message of hope and inspiration for all young people in our country.

Thank you for representing our homeland with dignity and once again showing that Bosnia and Herzegovina has champions worthy of the European throne.

Sarajevo Canton will continue to be your sincere ally and support on the path to new victories," the statement reads.

A congratulatory message was also sent via social media by the President of the SDA, Bakir Izetbegović.

"I extend my sincerest congratulations to the national team members, the selector, the expert staff, and the Association leadership on winning the gold medal and the 12th European champion title in sitting volleyball, thereby once again confirming that you are the pride of our homeland and the best ambassadors of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the world of sports.

Your indomitable spirit, dedication, unity, and persistence on the field are an inspiration to us all.

I am especially pleased that, despite all the challenges, you have once again shown how courage, hard work, and faith lead to the greatest achievements. Your success transcends the sporting result. It carries a powerful message of strength, unity, and hope for all citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina," Izetbegović stated.

The Minister of Defense of BiH, Zukan Helez, also sent a congratulatory message to the golden volleyball players.

"Another medal for our golden lilies. I congratulate the Bosnia and Herzegovina national sitting volleyball team on winning the European Championship. The golden lilies are the most successful sports team from Bosnia and Herzegovina. Through their sporting achievements, they have shown that they have no equal in the world. Although we are used to medals, only our volleyball players know how much effort, work, and sacrifice was needed for all the brilliant accolades they have adorned themselves with so far. You are our pride and our inspiration," Helez stated.

Numerous citizens who followed the game of our national team members in Hungary also congratulated the BiH national sitting volleyball team.
