Čelik: If we don't get the seal, we won't hold the session

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Mirza Čelik, SDA representative in the KS Assembly and the elected presiding officer of the Sarajevo Canton Assembly by the new majority consisting of SDA, SBB and DF, stated today that he, along with the secretary, came to the official premises to request the seal, which Elmedin Konaković and other representatives opposed by "kicking out the secretary." At a press conference held by members of the KS Assembly Collegium, Danijela Kristić, Elmedin Konaković, and Vibor Handžić, it was emphasized that Čelik forcibly attempted to enter the office of the KS Assembly presiding officer.

Ahead of tomorrow's session, or rather the announced sessions scheduled by both the old and new majority, a kind of chaos reigns. The old majority controls the KS Assembly seal, while the new one does not have the seal, making all their decisions legally void. The KS Ministry of Internal Affairs and the KS Prosecutor's Office have become involved in the entire case. 

Čelik claims that the "seal is probably being held hostage."

"You have to go in front of the Prosecutor's Office building to ask where the seal is being held hostage. I am not responsible for taking care of the seal. The presiding officer of the Assembly is responsible for the seal. A report has been filed, and every trace of the seal has been lost since December 27. Everything that has been sealed since then will be subject to criminal liability," he stated.

He stated that a session is scheduled for tomorrow and that he will attend, and if they do not get the seal, they will not hold the session. He was asked about the quorum for both sessions.
