Čegar: My task is to protect the building of the F BiH Government, I will not beat miners for someone's chair

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Zoran Čegar, head of the uniformed police of the Federal Police Administration, stated that he has no problem with miners, no problem with demonstrators, but "I have a problem with groups that come to cause conflicts and incidents". He added that "if anyone thinks I will fight with miners to save someone's chair - they are gravely mistaken".

Čegar said that as a true professional he is always ready for the possibility of riots – 365 days a year, but…

“I do not have valid information that miners will come tonight, but of course I will take measures if they come. I have no problem with miners. I placed my three girls (policewomen) in front of them. None of them had any problems with them. But there are some who have been planted to cause problems. Why? That will be determined by the services. There are intelligence services that were there and they recorded it. Now we are working on identifying them. Why did they bring alcohol? Why did they throw firecrackers, why did they throw cannon shots? Who sent them? What are they even doing here?”, stated the head.

When asked by a reporter from N1 which security services are involved, Čegar replied that he “cannot say that”.

“My task is to protect the building of the Government of the Federation of BiH, I hope there will be no excesses. I really do not want to fight with miners…”, concluded Zoran Čegar.
