(Patria) - The Governing Board of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CBBiH) adopted a decision on 27 March 2019 amending the fee rate on excess above required reserves. Under the new decision, the fee rate on excess above required reserves has been equalised with the deposit rate of the European Central Bank (ECB). Thus, the fee rate on excess
above required reserves has been changed from the previous -20 b.p. to -40 b.p. The fee rate on required reserves remained unchanged.
"The new fee policy on funds in the reserve account at CBBiH will be applied from 1 May 2019. CBBiH will continue to conduct the required reserve policy, in all its segments, in line with macroeconomic trends, the specifics of the BiH financial system and best global practices. Commercial banks, entity banking agencies and the public will be timely informed about any future changes to the required reserve policy," the Central Bank of BiH stated.
