CBBH: It is not true that we hold six billion euros in Deutsche Bank AG

The Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CBBH) denies allegations in some media regarding foreign exchange reserves and wishes to emphasize that it is not true that the CBBH holds six billion euros in Deutsche Bank AG.

The total foreign exchange reserves of the CBBH amount to BAM 9,378,788,204.70 (EUR 4,795,298,264.52) and they are managed in accordance with strict limitations and guidelines established by laws and other regulations, and in accordance with best practices applied by central banks where the primary goal is security.

The CBBH, like most other central banks, has a current account with Deutsche Bank AG through which it conducts transactions from the part of regular foreign payment transactions, and the funds in this account move around 1% of foreign exchange reserves, and the Central Bank has these funds available on a daily basis.
