Čavka: Education is a prerequisite for forming government in RS after elections

As a candidate representing the "Domovina" coalition and the Alliance for a Better Better Future of BiH for the National Assembly of RS, I call on political subjects to offer more solutions to problems and less demagoguery in their election campaigns. Specifically, I believe that all political parties must offer a solution to the discrimination of returnees in accessing education in Kotor-Varoš and Bratunac, says Admir Čavka, a candidate on the "Domovina" list, Patria reports.

I believe that the Ministry of Education and Culture of RS must ensure the application of the so-called "national group of subjects" in all communities where there is a significant Bosniak or Croat returnee population.

At the same time, doors must be opened to integrated education, which would strive to harmonize the textbook policies of the two entities, to erase banal differences conditioned by national policies, such as those in music culture or geography, in order to minimize future divisions among students (religious education, national history, mother tongue) until the final completion of the process, the removal of politics from education, and the creation of a system in which no student feels excluded.

Banja Luka must be the starting point for the renewal of the trust process, and the formation of the government in the RS entity after the elections must be conditioned by a binding program of measures for access to education and the assurance of basic human rights for new generations who are just starting primary school, Čavka states.
