Čavara on relations between coalition partners: Conflict harms us all

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - President of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Marinko Čavara held a meeting with the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Ministers of the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Fadil Novalić, Jelko Milićević, Minister of Finance, and Vesko Drljača, Minister of Labour and Social Policy.

Čavara said that today's meeting discussed possibilities for overcoming the current crisis in the work of the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and finding solutions to problems for which partners in the federal government propose different ways of resolving.

- It is clear that there are a number of unresolved issues on which partners in government view differently. To resolve this, I believe they should return to the zone of agreement and dialogue, not to the zone of conflict. Conflict will certainly harm all of us, primarily those who have the responsibility of leading and holding certain positions in the government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and it will certainly affect every resident of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Therefore, it is not only the issue of the election and appointment of the director of the Tax Administration of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which caused the interruption of the session of the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, that is the only unresolved issue. Perhaps it is just the straw that broke the camel's back when it comes to relations among partners in the federal government, and solutions should be sought for many issues that have been raised before, such as the issue of the Development Bank, the Federal Police Administration, the appointment of acting officials, and everything else that burdens relations - said Čavara.
