Čavalić for NAP: We voted for the FBiH budget rebalance because it belongs to the citizens and taxpayers, not the ruling majority!

(Patria) - Representatives of the Party for Bosnia and Herzegovina who attended the 8th extraordinary session of the House of Representatives supported the Federation budget rebalance.

Many wondered why the SBiH representatives did this, considering that it is an opposition party.

Admir Čavalić, head of the SBiH Caucus, explained to Patria that the rebalance and the budget in general belong to all taxpayers, or more specifically, to the workers who paid into the budget.

“It is pointless to give it up; the rebalance does not belong to the majority, but to the citizens. Two-thirds of the funds, by force of law that we all adopted, go to equalizing pensions, social, and veteran benefits. We in the Caucus decided to support the rebalance, and I think it is clear why we supported it,” Čavalić points out.

He explains that the budget rebalance also includes amendments by the Party for BiH from January of this year, which allocated 4.5 million KM for the construction of the Tuzla - Sarajevo expressway, 20 million KM for the Hranjen tunnel, and support for airports, especially Tuzla and Sarajevo.

“Generally, the majority was demonstrated; our votes were not decisive, and I believe that budget and other financial laws should not be pushed into the domain of political pluralization. In the FBiH Parliament, we are most polarized around the election of a constitutional judge, and when it comes to financing and similar issues, the general interest should be considered,” Čavalić told Patria.

We remind you that the House of Representatives of the FBiH adopted the rebalance of the entity budget on Wednesday, which totals 6,937,563,355 KM.

The budget rebalance was supported by 55 representatives.
