Čaušević agreed to cooperate, his release expected

A hearing in the case of Kemal Čaušević and others concluded a few minutes ago at the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Prosecutor's Office of BiH did not request the extension of custody for former Indirect Taxation Authority Director Kemal Čaušević, but instead requested a prohibition measure.

The same measure was requested for the Deputy Director of the ITA Zdravko Cvjetinović, with the Prosecutor's Office requesting bail in the amount of 100,000 marks for Cvjetinović. The Court of BiH will make a decision within the next two hours on whether to accept the Prosecutor's Office's proposal, which means that Čaušević and Cvjetinović will be released to defend themselves from freedom.

Boris Grubešić, spokesperson for the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, told the gathered journalists that Čaušević agreed to cooperate with this judicial institution in order to uncover other names involved in this case, linked to tax and customs evasion.

- The investigation in this case, regardless of the prohibition measures, continues and is moving towards filing indictments against the suspects - Grubešić emphasized.
