Carl Bildt, Swedish politician and diplomat and former High Representative in BiH, who was not remembered well on social networks, "suffers" for BiH, writes the Patria news agency.
Namely, he posted a photo of Baščaršija and wrote that Sarajevo is a great place.
- I felt something nostalgic when I saw this beautiful photo from Sarajevo. A great place to visit and experience – Bildt wrote.
Otherwise, Bildt's statement as EU mediator for former Yugoslavia, in which he condemned the liberation operation of the Croatian armed forces in 1995, caused numerous reactions in the Croatian public. These facts, as well as his later justification of Serbian crimes in Bosnia, characterized him as "persona non grata" in Croatia.
From December 1995 to June 1997, he served as High Representative for BiH.
In his testimony in the case of Biljana Plavšić, as former first High Representative in BiH, he stated that: Biljana Plavšić was never part of the inner circle of the Bosnian Serb extreme nationalist leadership, and praised her role in helping to implement the Dayton Peace Agreement.
On several occasions, he supported Slobodan Milošević and persistently called him "a good guy".
