Čampara is in a hurry: Izetbegović did not want to talk about Zvizdić's candidacy for the BiH Presidency member

The session of the SDA Presidency held on Wednesday was more than interesting, and only a fraction was disclosed to the public. In fact, only what works in their favor was announced, and an attempt was made to conceal all internal turmoil that is far from over, writes the Patria news agency.

First, the leaders of this party hid that they introduced party commissions for three municipalities in the Tuzla Canton area, after the extremely poor situation within the Tuzla SDA, and then Dževad Mahmutović (otherwise an advisor to Bakir Izetbegović) wished for this to happen in Zvornik as well, so a commission was introduced in this municipality in the RS as well.

Salko Zildžić was appointed head of the SDA commission in Gračanica, Hazim Rančić was appointed for the city of Tuzla, Edin Ramić for Kalesija, while Samir Bačevac was appointed head of the commission in Zvornik. There is whispering within the SDA that the commission in Zvornik bothers them the most, but no one speaks about it publicly.

It was immediately clear that SDA leader Izetbegović had started a crackdown on Mirsad Kukić, and not a single member of the Presidency stood up to defend Kukić. Let us recall, a letter that 14 representatives of the Party of Democratic Action from the Tuzla Canton, at various levels, sent to the president of this party, Bakir Izetbegović, recently came to light, in which they stated that they were dissatisfied with the official policy implemented by the Cantonal Committee of the SDA TK, headed by President Mirsad Kukić.

In the letter from the Tuzla Canton, data was presented about the uneven distribution of positions in the TK Government, ministries, public companies and institutions, management and supervisory boards, into which, according to the signatories of the letter, mostly personnel chosen by the first man of the KO SDA TK, Mirsad Kukić, were appointed, and not by the choice of the party bodies where, as they state, the territorial representation of elected personnel was absolutely not respected.

But, that is not the real reason for introducing the commissions, sources within the SDA reveal. Izetbegović actually resented Kukić for meetings with Fahrudin Radončić and Dragan Čović, and because he did not inform him about these meetings.
Well-informed sources also reveal that Izetbegović did not like what Kukić said about the candidates for the BiH Presidency member, i.e., the question of his support. Besides the commissions, a big surprise for the members of the SDA Presidency was prepared by Aljoša Čampara, who asked „when will the SDA candidate for the BiH Presidency member be chosen“.

With this premature question, because the elections are only 13 months away, Izetbegović was also caught off guard, telling Aljoša that it was too early to talk about it.

- Aljoša did not agree with that and said that some candidates are already known, so he listed Amer Jerlagić, Senad Šepić, Jerko Ivanković Lijanović, but his proposal did not pass – says our source.

It was also clear to Izetbegović that the SDA faction gathered around Čampara would not give up on Denis Zvizdić's candidacy for the BiH Presidency member, but people close to Izetbegović say that he might offer a non-party person, in order to secure his position within the SDA.
  
The reason, however, why Čampara is in a hurry is the fact that Zvizdić is increasingly losing the trust of the BiH Parliament, i.e., it is evident that there is no stable parliamentary majority, which jeopardizes Zvizdić. Those gathered around Čampara thus assessed that it is urgent for the SDA to resolve the issue of the candidate for the BiH Presidency member, before Zvizdić's influence wanes.

For now, their attempt has remained just that.
