Čampara "skinned" Bandić over statement on third entity, while Grabar Kitarović applauds

In March 2014, the City Council of Sarajevo (15 out of 28 votes) decided to declare the Mayor of Zagreb, Milan Bandić, an honorary citizen of the City of Sarajevo.

Just a few days later, the deputy mayor, advisor, and closest associate of the Deputy President of SDA, Bakir Izetbegović, Aljoša Čampara, was categorical and stirred up media frenzy to revoke the award from Bandić due to statements about the third entity in BiH, writes the Patria news agency.

Thus, the City of Sarajevo embarrassed itself then and questioned its credibility by giving Bandić, and then promptly revoking the Honorary Citizen award. However, this did not deter this man from Herzegovina from appearing in Sarajevo on April 6th to receive awards and the April 6th Award.

As a reminder, following Bandić's interview for Al Jazeera Balkans television, in which he stated that he hoped BiH would soon be composed of three entities, Čampara reacted promptly, considering the statement "unacceptable, scandalous, and offensive".

- As a serious politician who, according to his publicly expressed ambitions, wants to be the 'Mayor of Croatia', Milan Bandić should know that supporting the establishment of a third entity in BiH could mean supporting the revival of the so-called Herceg-Bosna, i.e., a criminal enterprise led by Franjo Tuđman for which former leaders of Croats in BiH were sentenced to long prison terms in The Hague. If he wants to deal with entities and internal restructuring of states, we recommend Bandić to do so in his own country, Čampara stated at the time.

It is interesting, or indicative, let everyone judge for themselves, that Čampara and his party leader are now wisely silent on the statement of the President of Croatia, Kolinda Grabar Kitarović, who, in her first interview for FTV after the elections, clearly stated that she would support any solution for the internal restructuring of BiH proposed by the legitimate representatives of Croats, whether it concerns cantons or the creation of a third entity.

Why is Čampara silent now? What "fatally" hurt his BiH patriotism a year ago that he reacted so sharply, and now Grabar Kitarović, from a much stronger and more important political position than that of a mayor, with her unprecedented support for the third entity, has interfered in the internal affairs of BiH?
