Čampara: We need to know what happened in the case of the bombing of Čengić's house, who made the mistake - the police, the Prosecutor's Office, or the court

(Patria) - At today's continuation of the KS Assembly session on the security situation, NIP representative Aljoša Čampara stated that someone needs to provide answers regarding the bombing of Irfan Čengić's family home after the court released two suspects.

"It was triumphantly announced that the perpetrators were arrested, then that the court released them because none of the reasons for detention were met for them to be held. We deserve real information. Statements come from the court, then the Prosecutor's Office, then the police. We are reaching a point where we have nothing from these statements.

The court said there were no grounds for detention, so we wonder what the police and the KS Prosecutor's Office were doing. What evidence did they present when determining detention? How do you think other citizens feel when we have such a situation? Institutions should come before the Assembly and say what happened with that event," said Čampara.

He stated that it is possible for the police to make a mistake, for the Prosecutor's Office to make a mistake.

"But these are not trivial matters to make such mistakes. This is a serious matter. Either someone wanted to put on a show for this assembly," said Čampara.

Chairman of the KS Assembly Elvedin Okerić criticized the fact that no one from the Municipal and Cantonal Courts attended the session.

He also stated that the Minister of Internal Affairs, Admir Katica, was prevented from attending today's continuation of the session for health reasons.
