Čampara and Osmica pressured Independent Board members to ensure Lukač is elected director

The Independent Board of the Parliament of the Federation of BiH this week, after interviewing candidates for the position of director of the Federal Police Administration, selected Dragan Lukač, the current director of that administration, who, along with eight other candidates, applied for the public competition announced on October 1, writes the Patria news agency.

This decision must be confirmed by the FBiH Government within 30 days, but as Patria learns from sources close to the Federal Government, this will not happen.

As previously known, four of the five present members of the Independent Board of the PFBiH voted for Lukač, while Božo Bagarić and Enver Ćosićkić did not attend the session. As Patria learns, pressure was exerted on the members and they were “threatened” that they must vote for Dragan Lukač, which is why Ćosićkić and Bagarić allegedly did not even come to the session.

Also, what is indicative is that throughout the session of the Independent Board of the PFBiH, led by Sead Selman, Aljoša Čampara, the closest advisor to Bakir Izetbegović and deputy mayor of Sarajevo, and another of Izetbegović's loyal men, Osman Mehmedagić (better known as Osmica, editor's note), head of the Wiretapping Sector in OSA, were “hanging around” the building of the Parliament of FBiH.

It was precisely Čampara and Mehmedagić, with Selman's help, who exerted the most pressure on the members of the Independent Board to ensure their choice was Dragan Lukač.

Incidentally, as we previously wrote, at the session of the Collegium of the Party of Democratic Action, among other things, the position of director of the Federal Police Administration was discussed, and the majority of Collegium members, with Aljoša Čampara being the loudest, ardently advocated for the reappointment of Dragan Lukač, the current director of the FUP, to this position.

As a reminder, since the establishment of the Federal Police Administration, its head has always been a Croat, while the position of minister belonged to Bosniaks. Some Collegium members rightly raised the question of why a Croat would again take this position, and why this time someone from the Bosniak cadre who applied for the competition should not take over this position. However, it was said that none of the applied Bosniaks are as qualified as Lukač!?

Also, it was mentioned that the same Lukač, who long ago met the conditions for retirement (refused to have his war service recorded in his booklet), literally forced the legendary BH special forces commander Dragan Vikić into retirement because he insisted that Vikić have his war service recorded in his booklet solely to remove him from the police for personal reasons. After getting rid of Vikić, he completely illegally appointed his “compatriot” from Posavina to head this elite unit of the FMUP.

For Čampara, and those who support him in achieving his goal of sitting in the ministerial chair, it is not a problem that an investigation is still ongoing against Lukač in the Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton, based on a report filed by SIPA.

SIPA investigators allegedly established illegal actions, i.e., abuse of position by Lukač in the payment of compensation for accommodation and utility costs, to which, according to legal regulations, they allegedly have no right.
