Burzić complained to Moore: Court decisions are too often overturned, they will have to reorganise

Head of the OSCE Mission to BiH and Ambassador Jonathan Moore visited the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton today, reports the Patria news agency.

He spoke with Chief Cantonal Prosecutor Dalida Burzić, who familiarised him with the work of this judicial institution. Despite all difficulties, such as the lack of technical and IT equipment, this Prosecutor's Office is determined to fight all forms of crime and corruption, said the Chief Cantonal Prosecutor.

She pointed out that she is not satisfied with the pace of work of the Municipal and Cantonal Courts.

"They do not schedule hearings on time and their decisions are too often overturned. The courts will have to organise their work," said Burzić.

The Head of the OSCE Mission emphasised that judicial institutions in our country must confirm their commitment to the rule of law. He expressed support for the work of this Prosecutor's Office. He recalled that since 2004, the OSCE Mission has been intensively monitoring and analysing the work of the BiH judiciary, which, as he said, enables them to provide concrete advice and assistance on systemic issues, the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office announced.
