HEATED EXCHANGE IN BiH PARLIAMENT Helez snaps at Krišto: Your insolence knows no bounds!

(Patria) - Deputies of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, at today's session, specifically Deputy Predrag Kojović (Our Party) requested that the agenda include the Information on the procurement of coronavirus vaccines.

Zukan Helez (SDP) stated that out of 29 agenda items, two or three are from the Council of Ministers, which speaks volumes about the majority, the state of the Council of Ministers, and the state of the Collegium of the House of Representatives.

Chairwoman Borjana Krišto (HDZ) interrupted Helez, warning him not to speak or debate if he had no concrete additions.

"It is not necessary for me to remind you of the rules of procedure at every session," Krišto said, taking the floor away from Helez.

"Your insolence knows no bounds," Helez said.

Damir Arnaut (Our Party) pointed out that Krišto selectively applies the Rules of Procedure.

"Why didn't you warn colleague Novaković-Bursać that she asked two questions, when according to the Rules of Procedure, only one is allowed?" Arnaut asked.

Dragan Mektić (SDS) said that the sessions have become ridiculous, aimed at creating the illusion among the public that something is being done.

"But in reality, we are doing nothing. I don't know what the Collegium's interest is in scheduling such sessions that do not solve any of the problems burdening our citizens. We have 14 EU priorities, we have an urgent need for certain reform laws, and we have not received a single reform law from the Council of Ministers. And I don't know why such sessions are being scheduled," Mektić added.

He said he would leave the session out of protest and asked the expert services to deduct his daily allowance.
