Heated session in the House of Representatives: 'The appointment of Zoran Krešić to the RTV FBiH Management Board is scandalous and unacceptable'

(Patria) - At the session of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of FBiH, which began this morning, discussions are underway regarding elections and appointments, including judges of the Constitutional Court of BiH from FBiH, as well as members of the Management Board of RTV FBiH, writes Faktor.

The Chairman of the Election and Appointment Committee, Mladen Bošković (HDZ), who is also the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, stated that Larisa Velić has been proposed as a judge of the Constitutional Court of BiH, and the procedure was followed considering that the mandate of Constitutional Court judge Seada Palavrić has expired.

The President of the DF Club, Mahir Mešalić, said that he considers the election to have been non-transparent, as in the case of HDZ's Marin Vukoja, and that for the first time since FBiH was established, opposition representatives have not participated in the election committees, and the reason for this is to hide the actual scoring or other details.

- The election process is being conducted under a veil of secrecy - said Mešalić.

He states that he and Admir Čavalić, president of the SBiH Club, submitted a request to attend the session of the working body that conducted the scoring, without the right to vote or debate, but they were prevented from doing so, and security was even sent to prevent them from potentially entering and seeing how the scoring was done.

- All our members of the DF Club have been expelled from all these working bodies and election and appointment committees. We have 12 mandates, and NiP has half as many and they have representatives in the working body and committee. We know that NiP is part of HNS, but that does not mean you should disregard the citizens' election results - added Mešalić.

Bošković responded to him, stating among other things, that everything was done according to regulations.

- If you don't like it, the field is wide open - Bošković told him.

Mešalić reacted to this, emphasizing that these were said by "some people who did not have the best intentions towards the peoples, citizens, and individuals".

The discussion was particularly heated regarding the appointment of members to the Management Board of RTV FBiH, for which Zoran Krešić was proposed, which the opposition strongly opposes due to his views, which, among other things, glorify the para-state creation of so-called Herceg-Bosna.

Bošković said that the Management Board has not been functioning for over ten years, that some see a solution and some don't, and that it is only about one thing, which is not to make the appointment of the Management Board.

He added that they have now reached the third mandate when they have "dared" to do this and that someone will problematize it tomorrow.

Mešalić requested a procedural intervention, as Bošković is the rapporteur for this agenda item and is presenting political narratives.

Mešalić was not given a procedural intervention at that moment and continued to express his displeasure from his seat, and in the end, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dragan Mioković (Naša stranka), gave him two verbal warnings with a caution and the words "try me" that he would take away his right to speak.

- Nazis are the worst - Mešalić interjected.

When he was given the floor, he told Bošković that it is true that "you have been trying to appoint Krešić for years" and that HDZ's insistence on Krešić is the reason for the empty Management Board of RTV FBiH.

- You didn't have suitable contractors as you do today. Back then, today's structure said not to appoint him. Trojka didn't dare to do it until today.

At the same time, the Vice-President of SDP, Zukan Helez, states that Krešić is a fascist, that he cannot be for him, but he doesn't have the power to say no. And SDP will vote for Krešić tonight - said Mešalić, then asked which vice-president governs SDP.

He added that earlier Sabina Ćudić from Naša stranka told HDZ "where you gathered, you created apartheid", but Naša stranka is now unrecognizable.

Mujo Aganović, president of the Alliance of Veterans with Disabilities of FBiH, also addressed the representatives, emphasizing that the appointment of Krešić is scandalous and unacceptable. Speaking about Krešić, he said that unfortunately, there are people who are mentally in the Middle Ages.

- Krešić publicly states that he would block the country if he had a say, calls for the overthrow of FBiH, the revitalization of the self-proclaimed anti-state creation of so-called Herceg-Bosna, talks about conflict, spreads religious and national hatred, and thus attacks the constitutional and legal order of the state of BiH.
