Turbulent SDS Main Board session in Doboj, request for Miličević's removal signed

(Patria) - The session of the SDS Main Board, which ended last night in Doboj, lasted nearly seven hours.

During the turbulent session of the SDS Main Board in Doboj, a request for the removal of Milan Miličević, the president of the SDS, was signed.

The request was signed by seven mayors and nine deputies in the National Assembly of Republika Srpska and the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as three former SDS presidents, Mladen Bosić, Vukota Govedarica, and Mirko Šarović.

After a multi-hour closed-door discussion, journalists were first told that a conclusion was unanimously adopted condemning, as stated, the abuse of police and prosecutorial authorities and their political instrumentalization, which culminated in the arrests of the mayors of Bijeljina and Teslić, Ljubiša Petrović and Milan Miličević.

A unanimous position of the Main Board was also presented that the SDS will have candidates for the President of Republika Srpska and the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina next year in the parliamentary elections.

In the background, party leaders dealt with internal party issues.

The exit from the hall of the former SDS president and deputy in the Parliament of Bosnia and Herzegovina at the very beginning of the session was explained by SDS president Milan Miličević as Bosić's reaction to omissions in sending invitations for the session.

Party leaders did not particularly comment to journalists on reports of dissatisfaction and resignations within the party, but they announced the continuation of discussions within the SDS.
