The German parliament will discuss the proposal to declare BiH, Macedonia and Serbia safe countries this afternoon, which would make it more difficult to issue asylum to citizens of these countries, it has been confirmed for the BiH news agency Patria (NAP).
If the proposal is accepted, the procedure for asylum seekers from BiH will be extremely shortened, and it will practically be impossible to obtain asylum in this country. The law that is in procedure is the result of an agreement between the two ruling parties, the Christian Democrats of Angela Merkel and the Social Democrats of Frank-Walter Steinmeier, and its adoption is expected. Only the "Greens" have expressed opposition.
The proposed solution will be presented to the members of the Bundestag by deputies Mahmut Özdemir and Uli Grötsch, it has been confirmed for NAP from the Bundestag.
