Sarajevo Canton Budget is an illegal forgery!

(Patria) - The budget of Sarajevo Canton is not based on the Law and is a forgery compared to the original document on which the Federal Ministry of Finance gave its opinion, announced the Cantonal Council of the Party for BiH.

On March 6, 2026, the Cantonal Council of the Party for Bosnia and Herzegovina received a letter from the Office for the Fight against Corruption of Sarajevo Canton, which stated, based on the response from the Federal Ministry of Finance, the following:
"The Federal Ministry of Finance has NOT APPARENTLY COMMENTED on the other forms of the document that were subsequently adopted by the Government of Sarajevo Canton and the Assembly of Sarajevo Canton, NOR WAS IT PROVIDED FOR OPINION".

To remind: The Federal Ministry of Finance gave its opinion on the proposed budget of Sarajevo Canton on December 10, 2025, and then the budget was completely changed compared to the given opinion.

1. The Ministry of Finance of the FBiH, in its opinion of December 10, 2025, emphasized that the planned revenues from indirect taxes amount to: 593,813,385 KM. In the amended Budget proposal of the Ministry of Finance of KS, the planned revenues from indirect taxes amount to: 700,437,381 KM. It should be emphasized here that the projection of revenues from indirect taxes and others is provided by the Ministry of Finance of the FBiH.

2. The Ministry of Finance of the FBiH, in its opinion, emphasized that the planned revenues from income tax amount to: 361,402,626 KM. In the amended Budget proposal of the Ministry of Finance of KS, the planned revenues from income tax amount to: 456,402,626 KM.

3. The Ministry of Finance of the FBiH, in its opinion, emphasized that the planned revenues from profit tax amount to: 209,744,972 KM.
