BE CAUTIOUS Warning to citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina about fake messages and misuse of IDDEEA BiH name

(Patria) - The Agency for Identification Documents, Records and Data Exchange of Bosnia and Herzegovina warns all citizens that the appearance of fake SMS messages and websites has been registered that unlawfully use the name and visual identity of IDDEEA BiH with the aim of misleading citizens and possibly obtaining personal or financial data.

Citizens are being sent messages falsely stating the existence of traffic fines, urgent payment deadlines, legal consequences, and alleged debtor registers, along with suspicious internet links that have no connection to the official systems of Bosnia and Herzegovina institutions.

We particularly emphasize that the domain: iddeea.govba.one is not an official domain of IDDEEA BiH nor any institution of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

We urge citizens not to open suspicious links, not to enter personal data, bank card details, usernames, passwords, or vehicle registration plates on unverified websites.

IDDEEA BiH has already initiated activities with competent institutions and international partners to identify responsible persons, report the misuse, and urgently shut down the disputed content.

If someone has already accessed the mentioned website or entered data, we advise them to immediately contact their bank, change their access passwords, and report the incident to the competent authorities.

We call on all media to convey this warning in the interest of protecting the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
