Numerous problems in TK due to snowfall: GSS found lifeless body, roads blocked

(Patria) - Traffic for all vehicles has been suspended on the Tuzla-Srebrenik main road, near the village of Donji Potpeć, and from Tuzla towards Bijeljina since nine o'clock, confirmed by BiHAMK.

Regarding the decision to declare a state of natural disaster in the area of Srebrenik, Mayor Adnan Bjelić and the Civil Protection Staff of the City of Srebrenik made a decision to engage the Mountain Rescue Service (GSS) Srebrenik in damage repair.

GSS Srebrenik received a call yesterday at 3:30 PM to transport an unconscious person in the area of Gornji Srebrenik, specifically Junuzovići.

- We were breaking through for two hours to the location due to the snow and the drifts that made our movement more difficult by the minute, but with superhuman efforts, we managed to reach the location where, unfortunately, we found a lifeless body. By the family's decision, in agreement with other services, we carried out the transport of the deceased from the inaccessible terrain ourselves - stated GSS Srebrenik.

Due to snowfall, the local communities of Požarnica, Dobrnja, Ljepunice, Milešići, Mramor, Marina Glava, Lipnica, Dragunja, Marijanovići, Matići, Orašje, G. Lipnica, D. Lipnica, Breške, Crno Blato, Bakaluše, Petrovići, Gornja Obrodnica, Donja Obodnica, Mandići, Cerovi, Rasovac, Desetine, Previle, Čanići, and a part of Bukinje are without electricity.

Water supply has been interrupted in the local communities of Markelići, Orašje, Rukice, part of Požarnica, Pasci, Miljevići, part of Mramor, Ljepunice, Sepetari, Srednja Lipnica, Karinjača, Matići, Ćane, Pekmezija, and Marići.

Due to snowfall in the area of Živinice, Par selo, Maline, Dubrave (Begići), Višća gornja (all settlements above Kažlje), Kovači, and part of Podgajevi are without electricity. The city water supply in Živinice is functional only in the part coming from the Tuzla water supply. Everything else depends on the state of the power grid.

In Kladanj, some schools have suspended classes because there is no electricity and no possibility for buses to pick up students due to uncleared roads. Many local communities are still without electricity, some for 48 hours.

- Due to the blockage of telephone lines, the Civil Protection Service of the City of Gračanica has provided radio devices on loan to all presidents of local communities so that they can maintain constant communication with all parts of the city. A large part of the city is still without electricity, especially the hilly local communities which have been without electricity for 36 hours.

As a side effect, pumps that fill water supply reservoirs cannot operate, and residents of all local communities are experiencing water supply problems - states the report of the Cantonal Civil Protection Administration of TK.
