Numerous initiatives submitted by Čampara, Marjanović, Kristić

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Representative Aljoša Čampara submitted an initiative at today's session of the KS Assembly concerning the procurement of cameras for recording the activities of police officers, to be worn on appropriate parts of the police uniform.

"In light of recent events related to corrupt activities of a number of police officers of the KS MUP Police Administration, and the fact that the public believes this type of unlawful conduct by police officers is very noticeable within the police force, especially among officers working in patrols," Čampara stated.

He also requested the procurement of necessary equipment for the functioning of the system (licensed software, appropriate mounts, data storage system) for the needs of the KS MUP Police Administration, and that the KS Government provide the financial resources.

"I believe this initiative will also contribute to greater protection of police officers, as they will not be burdened by potential false and unfounded accusations of corrupt activities, and citizens who may offer bribes will be adequately prosecuted," Čampara stated.  

A joint initiative was also submitted by Damir Marjanović and Danijela Kristić to convene an urgent session to adopt amendments to the KS Law on Higher Education, before the start of the new academic year.

On behalf of the clubs of the 'four' and independent representatives (NIP, Our Party, SDP, NBL-independent representatives), Danijela Kristić submitted a conclusion that prevents any further employment on an indefinite or fixed-term basis, and engagement under service contracts in all institutions founded by or in which the KS Government has a 50 percent stake. A halt to internal transfers of employees was also requested.

"The conclusion excludes educational institutions, healthcare institutions, the police, and the KS Anti-Corruption Office from urgent and justified recruitments, as well as recruitments through the KS Employment Service."

It was also requested that ongoing competitions be annulled, and that supervisory and management boards annul all competitions and halt all appointments.
