Numerous congratulations on the occasion of Orthodox Christmas

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Numerous congratulations have arrived for members of the Orthodox faith on the occasion of Orthodox Christmas. 

"Krug 99 congratulates on the most joyous Christian holiday of Christmas and sends sincere wishes to all Orthodox believers to spend it in personal and family happiness and neighborly understanding. May the celebration of Christmas inspire the light of hope and strengthen moral courage for life in peace and security for every individual and the entire social community, solidarity with neighbors and the weaker, courage to face the challenges of the holy divine gift of mission – life. Only in peace is rejoicing in life possible, and abandoning peace only strengthens the powerful at the expense of life and anxiety for the survival of all in this our beautiful country. Peace of God – Christ is born", it is stated. 

The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH PA) Nebojša Radmanović congratulated Christmas to His Holiness Archbishop of Peć, Metropolitan of Belgrade-Karlovci and Patriarch of the Serbian Porfirije, metropolitans, bishops, clergy, monks, deacons in Christ, and the entire Serbian Orthodox people.

"Your Holiness,
On the occasion of the most joyous Christian holiday of the birth of Christ, I extend my warmest congratulations to you. I wish all believers of the Orthodox faith to celebrate Christmas in peace, health, and family happiness. In the Christian Orthodox tradition, Christmas is a symbol of birth, creation, and new life. I believe that the joy of Christmas will give us the strength to further strengthen the unity and preservation of the Serbian people in these areas, but also to establish deeper trust and understanding with other peoples from our surroundings. In that hope, I greet you with the traditional Christian greeting: CHRIST IS BORN".

The Prime Minister of the Federation of BiH, Fadil Novalić, on behalf of the FBiH Government and personally, sent a Christmas greeting to citizens of the Orthodox faith, which states:

“I wish you to spend the most joyous Christian holiday in good health and joy, with your family and loved ones. May Christmas bring you happiness, peace, and contentment, and highlight the importance of the values that our country cherishes through the richness of diversity and mutual respect. Christmas is a holiday of faith, love, and hope, so let it remind us that we should build a better future together in our only homeland, Bosnia and Herzegovina“, says the greeting from Prime Minister Novalić.

The High Representative, Christian Schmidt, today congratulated Christmas to all believers of the Orthodox faith in BiH.

"Dear believers, I wish that this year's celebration of the birth of Christ brings you great joy, happiness, and inner peace. To you and your families, I send greetings and sincere congratulations: Peace of God – Christ is born! I wish you a happy, peaceful, and constructive New Year."

The Speaker of the Sarajevo Canton Assembly Elvedin Okerić, Deputy Speakers Danijela Kristić, Smiljana Viteškić and Vibor Handžić, Sarajevo Canton Prime Minister Edin Forto, MPs in the Assembly, and ministers in the Sarajevo Canton Government extend sincere congratulations and best wishes on the occasion of the upcoming Christmas to all believers of the Orthodox faith in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
