Numbers Don't Lie: Out of 57 Appointed Managers in BiH Institutions, Only 15 Bosniaks, and 21 Serbs and Croats Each

(Patria) - The Council of Ministers of BiH sent a response to MP Šemsudin Dedić (SDA) regarding all appointments in the current mandate of the Council of Ministers of BiH. We remind you that the Council of Ministers of BiH was appointed on January 25, 2023. The Council of Ministers of BiH includes cadres from HDZ BiH, NIP, SDP, Our Party, and SNSD. DNS cadre Nenad Nešić was dismissed from the position of Minister of Security of BiH.

According to the provided list, the first appointments followed as early as February 9, 2023, and most appointments were made in 2023. In 2024, the Council of Ministers of BiH made eight appointments, the last one being in August 2024.

Out of 57 appointed individuals in 55 institutions, 15 positions were filled by Bosniaks, while 21 positions were filled by cadres from the Serb and an equal number from the Croat communities.

The appointments concern security agencies, OSA, institutes, agencies, the Indirect Taxation Authority, legal representatives, the Directorate for European Integration, directors, deputy directors, and assistants.

It should be noted that the election of the Director of SIPA is pending due to a lack of consensus, and the position belongs to a candidate from the Serb community. The competition for the Deputy Director is also underway following the escape and dismissal of Zoran Galić. Competition procedures for several other positions are ongoing, but due to the newly emerged situation in the state coalition, it is possible that all further appointments will be halted. On the other hand, the question remains where the proportionality according to the last census from 2013 was lost and why the national structure was not respected in favor of Bosniaks and their rightful positions.
