Brlek: The ground is settling, new earthquakes are possible

10:23 - Sarajevans felt the ground shake again, at 10:19 AM, and this is the second one since this morning. Ivan Brlek, federal seismologist, told Patria that the second earthquake is being processed, but for now it is known to be 3.5 on the Richter scale.

- It is possible that there will be more earthquakes because the ground is settling, but there is no reason for panic as its intensity then decreases - said Brlek.

9:30 - A strong earthquake disturbed Sarajevans today around 9:30 AM, reports the BiH news agency Patria.

According to data available on the emsc-csem.org website, the earthquake was 4.3 on the Richter scale and shook an area about 30 km from the capital of BiH. Sarajevans who were in their houses or apartments felt a strong tremor. Some went out into the streets.

The epicenter was recorded under Mount Treskavica, federal seismologists confirmed.
