Brka: The solution to problems within SDA is to hold an extraordinary Congress!

A group of MPs from SDA (Šemsudin Mehmedović, Senad Šepić, Salko Sokolović and Sadik Ahmetović) in the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina left the party's Caucus and announced that they would not participate in the work of this caucus. The situation within SDA is becoming increasingly difficult and complicated as days go by, Patria reports.

The party's Main Committee established a working group that should conduct talks with the four MPs, consisting of SDA Vice President Adil Osmanović, Asim Sarajlić, Denis Zvizdić and Safet Softić. The meeting is expected in the coming days, but there is not much optimism that the problems could be resolved.

Osman Brka, who has been a member of all convocations of the Main Committee since the party's founding, in which he also participated, notes in an interview with Patria that the MPs did not leave the party, but rather left the SDA Caucus in the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

- They will have talks with that working group and I hope that will be resolved within the party. However, I truly believe that there are many problems in the party, and to solve them it is necessary to organize an extraordinary Congress - Brka emphasizes, NAP reports.

He further adds that unfortunately he believes it will be difficult for that to happen.

- But, the problems highlighted by the four MPs, who are practically party members since its founding and who are essentially right about many things. I think there is a lot to discuss and do within the party to bring it to the level it should have. Unfortunately, according to the rules of the SDA Statute, it is very difficult to hold an extraordinary Congress, because it is set up so that, for example, 30 municipal organizations need to unite and demand an extraordinary congress, which is practically unfeasible. They have no way to meet or agree. A large number is needed, if not 2/3 of the Main Committee members, which is again impossible, etc.

Practically, an extraordinary Congress depends on the goodwill of the current ruling structure in the party, which they will very hardly accept, but that would be the right solution - Brka said.

Let us recall, at the last session of the Main Committee, for the first time, the SDA leadership closed the session of the Main Committee, and the elected SDA representatives at all levels did not attend it.

In this way, SDA closed itself off and clearly stated that it does not want a different opinion.
