Brka on the Main Board session: The disintegration of SDA began at the Congress, they elected subjects and people without vision!

At the multi-hour session of the Main Board of the Party of Democratic Action, held on Saturday, December 10, for the first time after the local elections, there was at least no talk about the election result, at least according to the published conclusions after the session. Some members of the Main Board confirmed this to Patria, and as we were told, any criticism and discussion about the loss of about ten municipalities was absent. The President of SDA Bakir Izetbegović also addressed the session, but even after that there was no discussion. Izetbegović did not address the media either before or after the session.

Osman Brka, who was a member of all convocations of the Main Board since the founding of the party, in which he also participated, said in an interview with Patria that criticism would be welcome, which would open a discussion and people would say what they think. He believes that until that happens, SDA will not move forward.

- No one is taking responsibility. For me, only two men showed moral value: the President of SDA Bihać Sead Kadić and the President of SDA Zenica Ibrahim Šišić, who resigned. No one else resigned, no one from the top of the party feels responsible for the loss of Bihać, Zenica, Maglaj and other municipalities. I think someone should bear responsibility for that, and responsibility cannot be only on people from municipal organizations. There must be responsibility at the top of the party as well.

Brka confirmed that Srebrenica was also discussed, but the conclusion was that it should be resolved within the municipal organization.

Asked what is happening with SDA and why criticism is absent, Brka says it is a consequence of the events at the party Congress in May 2015.

- It will be like that until substantive things change. People were elected who listen, who are subjects. There are no people with vision. I am afraid of what will happen to SDA – says Brka.

Given that he has been in SDA since its founding, Brka said that he is for the idea that the first President of SDA Alija Izetbegović had, that all peoples and citizens in BiH are equal and that no one has an advantage over the other.

- I claim that the backbone of BiH is the Bosniak people. Without Bosniaks, BiH would be divided within two minutes. East and West would divide it if it weren't for the strength of the Bosniaks. Today we practically live in ghettos. In these elections, we lost Srebrenica in one way, Velika Kladuša in another, and in a third way we are losing Stolac. The living space where Bosniaks can be free is shrinking. That is a great danger if SDA does not find strength within itself – said Brka.

For the first time, it happened that the leadership of SDA closed the session of the Main Board, and the elected representatives of SDA at all levels did not attend it. In this way, SDA closed itself and clearly sent a message that it does not want a different opinion.

- The leadership of SDA wants to keep its own positions and in every way avoids any criticism and different opinion. This way of working can only lead SDA to disappearance because democracy cannot be discussed. SDA no longer has a vision of where the party itself is going, and consequently the state of BiH – says one of the state representatives of SDA.
