British Envoy Peach Arrives at BiH Presidency

(Patria) - Special Envoy of the Prime Minister of Great Britain for the Western Balkans, Sir Stuart Peach, has arrived at the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He was welcomed by all three members of the BiH Presidency, and Dodik, respecting epidemiological measures, maintained a distance from Šefik Džaferović and Chairman Željko Komšić. He also kept his hand in his pocket while greeting the guest.

Following the meeting, which is closed to the media, a press release will be issued.

Peach was appointed to this position by the Prime Minister of Great Britain, Boris Johnson, almost two weeks ago, and prior to that, he served as the Chairman of the NATO Military Committee earlier this year. Upon his appointment as the British envoy, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Great Britain, Liz Truss, emphasized that as a democracy that values freedom, this country will help the Western Balkan states defend and advance the purpose of freedom.

Peach also has a long military career behind him, and Johnson stated that in BiH he will continue to support the work of the High Representative and that Great Britain provides full support to our country.

Let us recall that Dodik commented on his arrival, his appointment, and Great Britain's policy towards BiH at a special session of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska (NSRS) on Friday.

"Why is the Government of Great Britain sending an envoy now? And he says: It is known who the MPs in the British Parliament from this region are who are concerned. Mrs. Helić (Baroness Arminka Helić, op.a.) who is creating an atmosphere of guilt for Serbs and RS. And why should I believe the British then? For 100 years, they have been undermining the status of Serbs in these regions with their insidious activities. We must tell them that," Dodik said at the time.
