British Ambassador: I wished I had a haircut on the red carpet

The new British Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Edward Ferguson, is active on the social network Twitter. Thus, we learned that he studied the language for five months and used the time before taking up his post to get to know BiH. He visited Mostar, Međugorje, Banja Luka, Jajce, Sarajevo, and briefly described each visit, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria.

His wife and two children arrived in Sarajevo on August 10, and already on the 15th they walked the red carpet at the opening of the 20th Sarajevo Film Festival.

- We just walked the red carpet at the SFF. I wished I had a haircut. But at least my wife looked glamorous – wrote Ferguson.

Writer Ellis Shuman wished him luck in his new position and left him a message: Maybe you will enjoy my article with a link to the text „The Book that Led Me to Bosnia“. Incidentally, that text on the reputable British portal huffingtonpost.co.uk refers to the Sarajevo Haggadah, an illuminated Sephardic manuscript, and everything that happened to it during World War II. After reading the article, Ferguson responded to Shuman.

- I can't wait to see the Haggadah. I like that it was hidden in a mosque during World War II. I hope the Museum will open soon so we can all enjoy it – wrote Ferguson, who is well acquainted with the current situation in BiH.
