British Health Minister on New Epidemiological Measures: We Must Break the Chains of Transmission

(Patria) – The British government is considering introducing even stricter epidemiological measures in the country to try to cope with the growing second wave of the Covid-19 virus epidemic.

- We do not want to introduce new restrictions, but we are trying to closely monitor the infection rate, said Health Minister Helen Whately, adding that the government is 'considering what else it can do'.

Whately emphasized that the country is in a phase where it still has the 'opportunity and choice' to establish 'control over the situation', and that the 'chains of transmission must be broken'.

She added that the photos showing crowds of young people in front of pubs are 'worrying' to say the least.
