(Patria) - The British Embassy in BiH has commented on the amendments to the Criminal Code of Republika Srpska which criminalise defamation. They believe these amendments should not have been adopted.
"Ignoring democratic values and justified opposition, the NSRS today adopted legal provisions making defamation a criminal offence. This stifles freedom of speech, endangers citizens' rights and shows authoritarian desperation. This legal act should not have been passed," the statement said.
