British Humiliated Players and Fans, but BiH Still Secured a Victory

The BiH basketball team opened the qualifications for Eurobasket 2015 with a victory over the Great Britain team with a score of 80:67, writes the BiH news agency Patria.

Our basketball players also had support from the stands of the Koper Sports Hall, although they were not allowed to be all together, and were scattered in several places with BiH flags. Nedžad Mehdić, one of the fans living in London, told the Patria agency that before the match, the BiH Basketball Association distributed tickets to fans who were without tickets.

Another oversight by the organizers occurred during the transportation of players and members of the BiH Basketball Association. Namely, the van they provided to our national team was only sufficient for the players, while the delegation members arrived at the Koper Sports Hall by taxi, writes NAP.

To qualify for the European Championship, it is necessary to win first place in the group or be among the six best second-placed teams from the seven qualifying groups.

Otherwise, we remind you that Jusuf Nurkić practically refused to play for the BiH national team in these qualifications, even though the medical team did not assess the injury as serious enough to require him to rest.
