Delete children's photos from Facebook: Kidnappers found Masha through it!

Three kidnappers who deliberately abducted a two-year-old girl while she was walking with her mother on a road in Belgrade found all information about the child's whereabouts on the Facebook profile of a family member, specifically her father Damir Prenković, reports the news agency Patria.

The profile was public and contained photographs of the girl and all family details. 

According to Telegraf's findings, the kidnappers used facial recognition software to find the girl who most resembled the one they were looking for as a replacement.

Namely, according to the story of the three kidnappers, little Masha was abducted to be used to gain custody of an almost identical child living in France, and her mother was one of the kidnappers caught by police while fleeing.

A search with facial recognition software is very simple - a photo of a person is uploaded and the results show those most similar to it. The kidnappers' choice fell on Masha, and through the Facebook profile they also learned her whereabouts and obviously all necessary information. This case is yet another warning of how dangerous social networks and sharing personal data can be.
