Brigade Associations of the First Corps of the Army of RBiH: A Joint Platform to Respond to Increasingly Open Attacks on the Existence of the State of BiH

(Patria) - The Presidency of the Union of Brigade Associations of the First Corps of the Army of RBiH appealed to all relevant actors in BiH society to jointly adopt a platform as a response to the increasingly open attacks on the existence of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

"We are witnessing the final phase of the implementation of the planned destruction of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Bosniaks as the indigenous and most populous nation in it by Greater Serbian nationalists.

We fighters are often confused by the inconsistent stance, from the war until now, of authorities at all levels regarding the achievements of the heroic struggle of the best sons and daughters in the defensive-liberation war of 1992-1995.

Looking at and participating in the recent commemorations in the city and Canton, where a minimal number of the veteran population attends, and almost no politicians, with honor to individuals, we cannot help but ask ourselves if we are again making historical mistakes and risking genocide again against our people, perhaps even disappearance from these areas and the destruction of the state of BiH.

Only the naive and ignorant believe that Greater Serbian fascists from Serbia and our domestic ones are not carrying out their multi-decade and multi-century intention of creating a Greater Serbia.

Therefore, we demand from the authorities at all levels, whether they hold executive and legislative power, or are in opposition, and all others who care about the achievements of the defensive-liberation war of 1992-1995, veteran associations and unions, veterans of all categories, all citizens to jointly adopt a platform as a response to the increasingly open attacks on the existence of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

We demand from the executive and legislative authorities to adopt laws and decrees that would define the actions for valorizing the heroic struggle from the past war, through the construction of a central memorial, museums, film and written records of historical facts from the past war.

Find a way for children, students, youth to learn about past history, to attend events, dates that must be defined and marked with the mandatory presence of all relevant parties in society.

If we do not react quickly, we risk others writing our history and helping the genocidal policies of Greater Serbs and other nationalists in their intentions," the alliance announced.

Otherwise, the Union of Brigade Associations of the First Corps of the Army of RBiH, with its members, cherishes the tradition of commands and units of the wartime First Corps of the Army of RBiH from the past defensive-liberation war by commemorating significant dates, events, and personalities.
