Care for the most vulnerable categories of the veteran population

The Association of Families of Martyrs and Fallen Soldiers Centar - Sarajevo, with the financial assistance of the Municipality, implements a number of projects for veteran families every year, reports the Patria news agency.  

The president of the Association, Ramiza Šejto, emphasized that one of the projects they are implementing thanks to the funds from the Municipality Centar is the provision of one-time financial assistance to families of martyrs and fallen soldiers.

- So far, we have received over a hundred applications, of which 80 have been approved. The Commission of the Municipal Council for Veterans' Affairs has approved individual amounts ranging from 150 to 300 KM for this purpose, Šejto stated.

The Association of Families of Martyrs and Fallen Soldiers of the Centar municipality was registered in May 1996 and today has 2,350 members, of which 980 beneficiaries receive certain rights due to them as members of the family of a martyr or fallen soldier of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Also, among these families are 92 family members of martyrs and fallen soldiers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Municipality Centar has provided the amount of 57,000 KM in this year's budget for eight projects implemented by the aforementioned Association, it was announced from the Municipality Centar.
