Bregović: The lawsuit against me is a fabrication

Goran Bregović, during his guest appearance on Aleksandar Stanković's show "Nedjeljom u 2" today, spoke about the career of Bijelo dugme, what music inspires him today, and whether he can escape politics, or if politics is an unavoidable part of our lives, reports the Patria News Agency.

-If someone wants to know if an empire is being managed, the quality of the music listened to there will provide the answer, Stanković quoted Confucius at the beginning of the show.

-Except for Jesus, the rest of us have to slowly understand what our job is in this world. But I only recorded my first album in my 4th year of college, so it was a close call that I didn't go into music and teach Marxism instead, said Bregović.

He admitted that in the beginning, he was involved in music because of girls, but that changed over time.

-I have this kind of rock and roll disability, I always have to be in some kind of hustle. I like working with people and seeing what will happen. If you don't believe that some miracle will happen that day, there's no point in waking up, says Bregović.

Why isn't Željko Bebek at Dugme's concerts?, Stanković asked, but Bregović did not want to discuss it.

-When you create music, do you steal?, Stanković wanted to know.

-If I were to ask you now, if you were writing music, would you like to be famous and win all the awards in a row? That's a fabrication, it doesn't exist. I have never had a lawsuit, let alone for music, Bregović replied, adding that all music is created in a "clash" with other music, writes Index.
