Branković, Bušatlić and others acquitted

All nine defendants in the Energopetrol case were acquitted this morning before the Municipal Court in Sarajevo where the verdict was read, writes Patria agency.

This is a case in which members of the former government Commission for the recapitalization of the state-owned oil company Energopetrol assisted in concluding a detrimental contract for this company. The Commission included Kasema Ćatović, Ahmed Žilić, Mirko Puljić, Safet Proho, Sead Kreso, Anka Šešlija, and Alma Haseta.

The former EP director Namik Bušatlić was also charged for concluding a detrimental contract, and former federal prime minister Nedžad Branković for dereliction of duty, causing damage to Energopetrol and the FBiH amounting to 32 million KM.
