Bradarić: Škaljić and Đonlagić aimed to take 30,000 KM each from the state!

Fehim Škaljić and Mirsad Đonlagić had aimed, targeted to take 30,000 KM each from the state. This is not right on their part, assessed for the BiH news agency Patria Mehmed Bradarić, a member of the Administrative Commission of the BiH Parliament, which stopped Škaljić and Đonlagić in their intentions.

Two MPs from SBB in the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, Fehim Škaljić and Mirsad Đonlagić, submitted a request to the Administrative Commission of that House to become professional MPs, but, as reported by the portal Klix.ba, the Commission rejected it, demanding that they retire first.

Had the Commission granted their requests, i.e., made them professional MPs before retirement, Škaljić and Đonlagić would have been entitled to severance pay from the state amounting to nearly 30,000 KM.

As professional MPs, Škaljić and Đonlagić would have the right to apply for a pension, collect close to 30,000 KM from the state budget, and after just a few days freeze that pension and return to the BiH Parliament.

Bradarić confirmed for Patria that Škaljić and Đonlagić had acquired the right to a pension before they entered the state Parliament, and that they should have applied for retirement upon meeting the conditions for retirement, not now, when the opportunity to collect 30,000 KM from the state budget opened up for them.

- That is dishonest. They knew that in the state Parliament you get six average salaries, and that is around 30,000 KM. That is simple math – says Bradarić.

Škaljić, in a statement to Klix.ba, claims that they did not submit the request for professionalization in the state Parliament because of the severance pay amounting to six net salaries, which they are entitled to according to the current law if they were to retire as state parliamentarians. 

They did it, Škaljić said, because all SBB MPs in the BiH Parliament did it, and out of the need to dedicate themselves to that job.
